Growing up in Ireland in a Chinese family meant that New Years always happened twice. There was the classic countdown on December 31st, then the Chinese New Year a few weeks later, with family meals, red envelopes, and traditions that connected me to those roots.

Both marked a fresh start, but each had its own meaning and atmosphere.

Growing up entangled in both cultures made me curious about what we find meaningful, and why.

My studies gave me another way to explore that curiosity. I loved moving between learning about human behaviour and working through the practical challenges of building products.

As a designer, I bring that understanding of people together with my visual and technical skills to curate connections for others. I’m particularly interested in visualising data and exploring how emerging technology can support us in our lives.
